G & H) EFFECTS TESTS/PRODUCTION SHCEDULE
The first effect I chose was the glitch effect. I chose this to add intensity when the killer is first introduced and to add a sense of vulnerability for the character in danger. It adds to typical horror edits to create an edge-gripping and uneasy atmosphere. The next effect i used was the single strobe. This effect adds dynamic and substance to help create the eerie atmosphere. I also felt it was fitting to the type of shot (walking tracking shot) to show the character walking into the killer's trap. The final test effect I used was the overlay strobe effect. This merges 2 clips together. I merged the masked sinister killer with the character innocently walking to foreshadow the terror that will later unfold. The effect adds to the intense and unsettling atmosphere to build tension among the audience and keep in theme with the horror genre.
