Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Director:

A film director has multiple responsibilities to ensure the filming of a production goes as planned. They're responsible for the control over the film's artistic and dramatic aspects, as well as following the script to visualise the vision and concept- portraying the story line. They have a role in terms of choosing the character's appearance and costumes, prop use and how the scenes will unfold. 

Example's of film directory work:

- George A.Romero: The Night of the Living Dead,  Day of the Dead, Land of the dead 

-James Wan: Insidious, The Conjuring, Lights Out

2. Cinematographer: 

Cinematographer's work with directors and film crew to create visual effects. They choose relevant lighting, camera shots/angles, framing and filters to create appropriate theming and moods for the film. They also take charge on colour palettes of the film and what relates to the film based on screenplay/scripts.
